You know what's really irritating? When your husband is supposed to get off of work at a set-time, yet he never does. Sometimes it is only 15 minutes after his shift is supposed to have ended, sometimes it is thirty, today it has been an hour and a half. No, he does not have to stay and help. Yes it would be nice, but when we have plans and things to do and he stays to help at work then the plans that we have are screwed up. The thing that really irritates me is that this is not just a one time thing, not even just two or three times, this is every single shift.

Also, what irritates me the most is that there are two other managers there that can handle the situation. Yes, they may be busy, yes they may be understaffed, but how often do people stay after their shifts to help you out when you get swamped? And I know that isn't a nice mentality for me to have, as it should be do unto others, yada, yada, but I mean seriously. Never has anyone stayed to help you. Never! Not even once! They take advantage of you because you are the nice guy that never tells anyone up at work no, and instead would rather make friends and keep everybody up at his job happy then come home, ON TIME for ONCE, to his wife.

This really hurts my feelings, especially tonight. There are not one, but two other managers and an assistant manager up there to cover the one person that called in, yet he decides to stay. He always seems to put work before me, and I know he probably doesn't mean it that way, but that's what it feels like. He constantly does it and I'm so tired of being put second. I'm his wife, I should be put first.

Is it selfish of me to want him to actually come home when he is supposed to, at least even just half of the time?
