2 down, 1 to go..
I registered online at Wal-Mart and Target for baby things. I still want to go to Babies-R-Us and register too though, that way people have a variety of places to look. I also want everyone to know I do not by any means want, nor expect, to receive everything on those lists.
I put about 5 different cribs on there since my in-laws are buying the crib so that way they have a selection in terms of price and also so they can still 'surprise' us with the crib since we won't know which one they picked.
I also put two different travel systems since I liked them both. I listed about a bajillion (yes, BA-JILL-ION) different sheets, mattress pads, mattress protectors, blankets, and one bedding set. I will admit this, I am practically in love with the bedding set I put on the Wal-Mart gift registry, which is why I only listed one bedding set; if someone wants to get us a bedding set, I want that one and would be disappointed with any other one, hence it being the only one listed.
I listed tons of blankets, burp cloths, and other knick-knacks and doo-dads, some with multiple quantities because I want to give people a choice. I don't want people to feel like they have to get us this specific thing, and have them worry if the store doesn't have it. Everything I listed I will be more than happy with, and I wanted a variety of choices in price and look, so people can still pick something along their personality. I also listed more expensive things only because there are certain people I know that feel it is inferior if it is cheaper, and I also know there are lots of people who don't have money to burn, hence the cheaper (and in my opinion, most of the cheaper is cuter) things.
That's enough of a ramble I guess.
