Grr.. Rant
I just found out that my cousin had a baby on my birthday. That is not the part I am upset about, though.
She (my cousin) and her family are mad at my Grandma for helping out my family (over 12 years ago!) when my mom was getting a divorce. They were the 'favorites' - my aunt was my G-ma's favorite child, and naturally her daughter was the favorite grandchild -my G-ma and mom didn't get along when my mom was little but they patched things up and are very close now. Apparently that makes my Aunt mad and she refuses to talk to my G-ma.
FF to now - they put an AD in the paper of my G-ma's small hometown (about 1500 people), AND THEY DON'T EVEN LIVE THERE. They live about 2 hours away in a huge city. They only put it in there to upset my G-ma (THAT is what I am mad about!); they didn't tell anybody (none of the 4 other siblings or my grandparents) that she was pregnant and purposely put it in there to hurt my G-ma's feelings. My cousin used to be her favorite, and while she may not be anymore (she tries so hard not to play favorites anymore) I know it still hurts her to have been left out of my cousin's pregnancy.
Sorry, just really needed to vent.My G-pa is really sick (he has Huntington's Disease), and they just figured out what is wrong with him, my G-ma is on her own disability and now has to take care of him, and this was just something she didn't need. Thanks for listening!
